Submersible Drainage Pumps
Submersible drainage pumps are used to quickly drain or pump large amounts of water from one place to another and, as the name suggests, they are designed to be submerged in fluid. Because they have to be submerged, they are not subject to pump cavitation, which occurs when there is a high disparity in elevation between the fluid surface and the pump.
Submersible pumps are more efficient and require less power than jet pumps because they push water to the surface instead of pulling it and have a motor which is hermetically sealed in the casing of the pump, which ensures that water never touches an electrical component.
Allsebrook’s engineers regularly deal with submersible pump installations and the ongoing maintenance required so we are in an ideal position to advise on the best product for the intended use – they are suitable for many applications and we have listed the most frequently asked for below:
Industrial Pumping
Submersible pumps are often used to pump excess water from work sites or flooded basements in construction sites. They can also be used to pump slurries.
Deep Well Drilling / Borehole Pumps
If you need to drill deep for water in a home, a submersible Borehole pump is a great solution. Borehole pumps can pump water from great depths to holding tanks and into homes.
Irrigation systems
A submersible borehole pumps can be used to provide water to an irrigation system. In series, they can be used for industrial and agricultural irrigation.
We carry a full range of submersible pumps, whether you need a pump for dewatering, sewage, slurries or any of the applications listed above – just get ion touch and we’ll advise you on the best pump for your particular requirements.
